SUB SONIC LIVE WITH FRED PERRY

Following on from September's SubSonic Live, celebrating the 60 year relationship between Fred Perry and youth counterculture, this gig at Highbury's The Garage on 21 November celebrated the future, bringing together some of the very best of the new music scene. The headline performance came from Tom Vek, who recently returned to the scene with his second album Leisure Seizure following his debut We Have Sound from five years earlier, which cemented his status as the mysterious auteur of experimental new music. Support came from Breton, who are steeped in audio-visual experimentation, and new indie band, CovesThe downstairs bar was hosted by LuvLuvLuv Records, with special guests including Gabriel Bruce and Splashh.
