PAUL MOSLEY

Yes, a bassoon! Paul Mosley’s excitement as the instrument comes out during his second set at the St Pancras Old Church is infectious. Presenting his new album A Chattering of Birds, he is accompanied on stage by Kate May and Joe Peet. The church is a perfect setting for Paul, the acoustics and ambience suit his show perfectly and the opening pocket symphony of Hummingbird and the gorgeous Red Crow sound particularly good. The sheer joy with which he greets every song he plays radiates the room and he clearly doesn’t want it to end. We didn’t either.
